Chris White is a film producer, director, screenwriter, and actor who, with his wife and producing partner Emily, makes his home in Greenville, South Carolina.
His most recent feature films, the award-winning showbiz comedy CINEMA PURGATORIO and southern gothic comedy anthology UNBECOMING, were filmed almost entirely in the Upstate of South Carolina using mostly locally sourced cast and crew.
His next film, ELECTRIC JESUS, is a coming-of-age music-comedy about a Christian hair metal band touring the Deep South during the summer of 1986. Chris wrote the award-winning screenplay and will direct.
Chris serves as an advisor to Greenville’s Reedy Reels Film Festival and, with Emily, will re-launch the venerable Upstate Film Society this year.
Chris has written about film and television for Paste Magazine, The Curator, and undefined and speaks about creative entrepreneurship, filmmaking, and screenwriting all over the U.S.
